Why is it important to have a band manager?  The answer to this is very simple.  It makes the type of the band easier by having them focused on their musical duties rather than focusing on everything.  And that is it basically.

The manager also helps in coordinating tours and road activities.  He is also considered the team captain.  Not necessarily the reader that someone who has a big say whenever suggestions are needed or decisions are need to be made.  He supervises all the other members of the team in ensure that everything is running smoothly.  He’s the one responsible for directing the booking agent to where the bad knees to be performing live.  And also he’s the one who is negotiating with the contracts with the record companies.  Other than that, he also oversees usage of band’s music by moviemakers, advertisers and other agents.  He also supervises publicists work for the band, suggesting media outlets and pulling in connections with the media world.  He seeks out endorsements and advertising deals that will raise money and helped to position the public’s perception of the band and their goals.

And a band manager needs not to be a “he”.
