1. Teaching yourself – many people always try to teach themselves how to play guitar. It is true that most of the guitar playing legends taught themselves guitar but that doesn’t apply today. I wouldn’t suggest that one. Although, it might be impressive to hear that “you are a self – taught guitar player” but actually you would learn less and you would learn it the difficult way, sometimes you would never learn at all. So try getting a guitar teacher.
2. Taking lessons from ineffective teachers – this is as worse as teaching yourself guitar. If a teacher is ineffective, might as well not be taught at all. You would learn nothing on a teacher who is ineffective, you would only learn thrash. Be sure you get to check the guitar teacher before you hire them because some of these ineffective guitar teachers didn’t have any training at all.
